Center Joint Unified School District, established in 1858, is the second oldest school district in the state of California. Our amazing staff, students and community experience an education rich in tradition, while we are rapidly expanding and offering new and innovative programs, teaching practices, and job opportunities. 

This is an exciting time for CJUSD as we expand into the newly built communities of West Roseville. Our new STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) school, Rex Fortune Elementary, is opening this year!   • When I was getting my teaching credential, I met some great people from the district, so I decided to do my student teaching with Center. I was assigned to Oak Hill in 2000 and never left!

  • I started at Riles as an instructional specialist, to get my foot in the district's door with the hope of moving over to Oak Hill. But it turns out, I love working with middle schoolers! And I have THE BEST coworkers ever and I can't imagine working anywhere else!

  • I have been in the district for 24 years and am here to stay! I appreciate the unique diversity of the students and their eagerness to learn. I have been happy teaching at Center High School because of the exciting things that happen in and out of the classroom-from programs like MCA, AVID, and Project Lead the Way, to events like homecoming, sports, and rallies. It's great to interact with the students and see them thrive. That's why CJUSD is my forever home.
